When the conventional don’t work

Location: Berlin, Germany

When the trade union Verdi in Berlin and their retail sector bosses ended in a deadlock, they organized a flash mob in a shopping center by filling up their carts with shopping items and leave it in the store aisles, instead of paying it. This has resulted business coming to a halt for an hour but also brought on an immediate effect on negotiations.

This flash mob came 2 days after the Germany’s Federal Labor Court decided that flash mob were a legitimate form of industrial action.
